Winnipeg Rifles @ Edmonton Huskies – Saturday October 8, 7:00pm – Clarke Field | WATCH HERE

For the second time in three weeks the Huskies battle the Rifles in the PFC Game of the Week.  Two weeks ago in Winnipeg the Huskies cruised to a 45-10 victory thanks in large part to nine Rifle turnovers.  Five different players had an interception. This is a very important game for both teams. With a win the Huskies can put more of a clamp on third place, while the Rifles need a win to keep their playoff dreams alive.

Calgary Colts @ Regina Thunder – Sunday October 9, 1:00pm – Mosaic Stadium | WATCH HERE

It’s the second meeting of the season between the Colts and Thunder and a potential playoff match-up.  Three weeks ago in Medicine Hat the Colts hung on for a three point victory.  The Colts scored just seven points in the second half as kicker Stephen Fabian accounted for nine of the 15 Colt points.  The Thunder actually outgained the Colts but turned the ball over four times in the loss.

The Hilltops have won four straight coming into this week, including scoring a 53-16 win over the Wildcats in Edmonton on September 4.  The Hilltops were outstanding that day recording over 600 yards of total offence.  Back-up running back Joshua Ewanchyna was outstanding with 18 carries for 179 yards and scored three touchdowns. Quarterback Jared Andreychuk threw three more touchdown passes.
