Offensive Players of the Week

BCFC:
QB Tommy Robertson – Langley Rams

The Rams played an outstanding road game led by their quarterback Tommy Robertson.  The former lacrosse star finished 18 of 27 for 242 yards and threw three touchdown pass.  He also rushed for eight yards.  This is the first award for Robertson.

PFC:
QB Sawyer Buettner – Regina Thunder

For the second straight week he had the best offensive performance in the PFC.  Buettner completed 67% of his passes collecting 404 yards and threw a pair of touchdown passes in the Thunder’s set back.  Last week he was also named the CJFL’s Fans Choice Top Performer.

Defensive Players of the Week

BCFC:
DL Mason Kelley – VI Raiders

Saturday afternoon the Raiders defence held the potent Westshore Rebels offence in check for most of the game ultimately playing for a tie. Kelley caused havoc with the Rebels ground assault by getting into the backfield to disrupt timing.  He collected seven solo tackles, had an assisted stop and two sacks.

PFC:
DB Colton Burr – Calgary Colts

The Colts played one of their best games of the season holding the Thunder’s potent running attack to just 13 yards.  Burr was outstanding making 11 solo tackles and had a knockdown frustrating the Thunder offence.

Special Teams Players of the Week

BCFC:
DB Jordan Lund – Langley Rams

The Kamloops Broncos were building momentum down by 10 and lining up for a 33 yard field goal…enter Jordan Lund.  With the kick attempt sailing wide left, Lund showed his blazing speed, returning it 111 yards untouched for a major.  He’s just the second player this year to return a missed field goal for a touchdown.

PFC
LB Cole Sneesby – Winnipeg Rifles & DB Logan Bitz – Saskatoon Hilltops

Both players showed excellent coverage in their Interconference games in BC.  Both Sneesby and Bitz collected two special teams tackles and assisted on another.
