A snap shot of the three match-ups this weekend

Edmonton Huskies @ Calgary Colts – Saturday September 3, 7:00pm – McMahon Stadium – WATCH HERE

Both the Colts and Huskies are coming off a win last weekend and oddly enough both defences gave up 21 points each.  It’s the first meeting of the season between these two Alberta clubs.  Last year the Colts won both match-ups including a 37-17 win at McMahon.

Passing Leaders: Brad Launhardt – 65* of 111* for 724 yards*, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions (Huskies) – Bailey Wasdal – 47 of 70 for 594 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception (Colts)

Winnipeg Rifles @ Regina Thunder – Saturday September 3, 7:00pm – Leibel Field – WATCH HERE

This game features the top two running backs and It’s a rematch of last weekend when the Thunder rolled over the Rifles 58-6 in Winnipeg.  The game will be played at Leibel Field, just four years old and has 1200 seats. The park should be packed with minor football players, fans and a large contingent of Rifles fans who are in town for the Labour Day Classic.

Passing Leaders: Jamie Ybarra – 37 of 69 for 525 yards, 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions (Rifles) – Sawyer Buettner – 54 of 91 for 692 yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions (Thunder)

Saskatoon Hilltops @ Edmonton Wildcats – Sunday September 4, 1:00pm – Clarke Park – WATCH HERE

Both teams are coming off losses, each scoring 21 points in their set back.  For the Hilltops it’s their second trip to Edmonton in three weeks while the Wildcats are searching for their first win.
