Offensive Players of the Week

BCFC
WR Blake Draper – Valley Huskers

The Valley Huskers have shown their offence can move the football against some of the League’s best defences.  Saturday afternoon receiver Blake Draper had a solid game.  His eight receptions moved him into 13th all-time in the BCFC in pass receptions, giving him 125 in his career.  Those eight catches on Saturday tallied 124 yards and three touchdowns.

PFC
RB Micheal Ritchott – Winnipeg Rifles

Arguably he had the best individual game of any player this season as Micheal Ritchott was a one man wrecking crew carrying the rock 33 times for 358 yards and two touchdowns leading the Rifles to their first win of the season.  His 358 yards is sixth all-time in CJFL history.  He also made one reception for nine yards, totalling 367 all-purpose yards.

Defensive Players of the Week

BCFC
S Beck Fullerton – Okanagan Sun

As a team the Okanagan Sun defence pitched their first shutout of the season, holding the Kamloops Broncos to 225 yards of net offence. Safety Beck Fullerton was terrific making two tackles and recording a pair of interceptions, taking one of them back 72 yards for a touchdown.

PFC
DL Blake Hermann – Saskatoon Hilltops

The defending champion Hilltops played their first road game of the season and came away with the victory.  Their defence was led by Blake Hermann who recorded six tackles and an incredible three sacks against the Edmonton Huskies.

Special Teams Players of the Week

BCFC
K Tiernan Docherty – Langley Rams

For the third time this season Tiernan Docherty has been named the Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week thanks to his foot.  With the Rams down by a pair of touchdowns, Docherty booted a 33 yard field goal which catapulted the Rams to 29 unanswered points.  He finished the game hitting both field goal attempts and all three converts.  His 15 punts set a new Rams record and is second all-time in the BCFC, one off the record which was set in 1965.

PFC
LB Oshane Samuels – Edmonton Huskies
When the Edmonton Huskies need the Special Teams to make a play, they looked to Oshane Samuels who answered the bell with four special teams tackles against the Saskatoon Hilltops.
