Offensive Players of the Week:

BCFC:
RB Jamel Lyles – Westshore Rebels
For the second time this year Rebels’ running back Jamel Lyles is named the Offensive Player of the Week.  He was simply unstoppable rushing 26 times gaining 238 yards and three touchdowns.  He also collected 63 punt return yards, becoming the first Rebel to ever reach the 300 all-purpose yard plateau twice in a single season.

PFC:
RB Dylan Minshull – Calgary Colts
There are high hopes in the Colts backfield this season and if Week 1 is any indication, then this Colts team could be very good on the ground.  Saturday night they were led by their workhorse Dylan Minshull and his 15 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown.

Defensive Players of the Week:

BCFC:
LB Layne Hull – Okanagan Sun
He was all over the field on Saturday night, helping the Sun to their fourth straight win of the season.  Hull put pressure on the quarterback, made running backs change directions and was an absolute menace all night.  He finished with a tackle, an assisted stop, a sack, had a knockdown and an interception.

PFC:
LB Matt Williams – Regina Thunder
Sunday afternoon the Thunder were outstanding defensively holding the Edmonton Huskies to just six points.  Matt Williams made his presence felt in the backfield time and time again.  He finished the game with a tackle, an assist, had a fumble recovery and an incredible 3.5 sacks.

Special Teams Players of the Week

BCFC:
K  Kealey Heintz – Okanagan Sun
Saturday night the Okanagan Sun won their 22nd straight regular season game and it was thanks in large part to the foot of Kealey Heintz.    The kicker was a perfect 3-3 on field goals, a perfect 4-4 in converts and tallied seven punts, averaging 36 yards and boomed eight kick-offs averaging 49.9 yards a kick.

PFC:
DL Riley Pickett – Saskatoon Hilltops
The defending champs opened the season with a win over Winnipeg and the special teams played a factor in field position.  Riley Pickett was solid with a pair of special teams tackles and two special team assisted stops.
