The Sun, Huskers and Broncos claim a "W"

Valley Huskers 26
Langley Rams 9

The Valley Huskers earned the seasonal series sweep over the Rams led by their defence who pitched a shutout in the first three quarters of the game and forced five turnovers.  Sawyer Sonsteby had two interceptions and Kurtis Flynn and 6.5 tackles. 

Offensively running back Reece Wyke carried the rock 29 times for 159 yards and he had a touchdown.  He also showed off his kicking skills, booting four field goals.  Quarterback Lucas Feaver completed 23 passes for 293 yards and found David Coronado for a six-yard TD strike. 

The Rams were held to 206 yards offensively.  Their lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter when quarterback Gideone Kremler connected with Terrel Jones. 

Next week the Huskers (6-2) will visit the Kamloops Broncos (1-7) and the Rams (5-3) travel to Westshore in a possible playoff preview for a game against the Rebels (8-0).

Prince George Kodiaks 14

The Sun dominated the Kodiaks on Saturday night with two quarterbacks combining for 378 yards and five touchdowns.  Adam Rocha finished 14 of 20 for 174 yards and two scores while also rushing for a pair of touchdowns. Hunter Norman threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns.  Receiver Colby Miletto caught two touchdowns and Luke Winsor, Ethan Kiefer and Elelyon Noa each caught one. 

On the ground Noa rushed for a game high 111 yards and a touchdown.  Kyle Dennis and Aiden Wieberg also had majors on the ground. 

Defensively the Sun forced nine turnovers with Tyler Turner recovering two fumbles. 

The highlight of the night for the Kodiaks came from their defence when Peyton Briere gobbled up a fumble and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown. Their other score came on a touchdown run from Kayle Cowley. 

Next weekend the scene shifts to the Okanagan when the Sun (6-1) host the Kodiaks (2-6) in the back half of the home-and-home. 

Kamloops Broncos 31
VI Raiders 25

The Broncos galloped for 305 yards and two touchdowns, scoring 17 fourth quarter points to earn their first win of the season.
Quarterback Tayen Lloyd was terrific rushing 13 times for 129 yards and two majors.  He also completed 13 passes for 171 yards and found Kabel Senz twice for touchdowns.  Running back Cam Gregzorczyk carried the ball 19 times and added 151 more yards.
The Raiders led 18-14 heading into the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold down the Broncos as their winless streak continues.

Quarterback Ben Chomolok rushed for two touchdowns and threw for one finding Jordan Umukunzi from eight yards out. 

Next weekend the Broncos (1-7) welcome the Valley Huskers (6-2) and the Raiders (0-9) will enjoy a bye during Thanksgiving.
