Prairie Conference Schedule

By CJFL Media 03/19/2025, 9:00am PDT

All six PFC teams open the schedule on August 10th

The CJFL and Prairie Conference (PFC) are pleased to release their 2025 schedule that will see the six-member Conference open the CJFL season on Sunday August 10, 2025 with a full slate of games.

With the CJFL Canadian Bowl scheduled to be played in the Prairies this November, stakes are even higher for all six teams coming into the new campaign.

The defending Conference champion Regina Thunder will open up their quest for another title on the road when they visit the Edmonton Huskies.  The Saskatoon Hilltops also kickoff on the road when they travel to Winnipeg to meet the Rifles and the Calgary Colts entertain the Edmonton Wildcats in Week 1.

Each team will play an eight-game regular season schedule concluding on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 12th.  The top four teams will then advance to the Canadian Bowl Playoffs which will begin the following weekend with a pair of semi-finals before the PFC title game on October 26th.  The winner of that game will host the 2025 Canadian Bowl national championship.

Their opponent will be the winner of the CJFL National Semi-Final game between the BC Conference and Ontario Conference champions.  That game will also be held on October 26th in British Columbia for the first time since the 2021 season.

The BC and Ontario Conferences continue to work on their schedules and do anticipate releasing them in the coming weeks.

Rylan Kleiter is a proven winner in multiple sports.

During his four-year career with the Saskatoon Hilltops he won four Canadian Bowls and today he’s representing the province of Saskatchewan at the Montana’s Brier, trying to curl is way to a national title.

He and his team won the 2025 Sasktel Tankard to earn the right to represent the province at the Brier in Kelowna, BC this week.  This is his first appearance in this championship and it has been a big learning curve facing the best curlers in the country but he and his team are holding their own along with his dad as their coach.

He played receiver and was the Hilltops kicker during their four-peat and has been using that experience to try and calm the nerves at the Brier, under the bright lights of the nation watching.

His best CJFL season was his last in 2019, connecting on 18 field goals in the regular season.  The Hilltops traveled to Langley for the Canadian Bowl featuring two incredible defences so scoring was at a premium.  As a matter of fact, only one touchdown was scored the entire game, but it was the right leg of Kleiter who secured the 11-6 win on his three field goals.

Following a game at the Brier on Thursday, Kleiter joined Ryan Watters just outside the venue in Kelowna for a quick chat.
