CJFL Player to Watch

Isaiah Edwards of the Langley Rams

The Langley Rams are excited about their team this upcoming season and receiver Isaiah Edwards is a big reason why.

He’ll enter this second and final season with the Rams and expectations are high after he caught 36 passes for 550 yards, a 15.3 yards per catch average and hauled in six touchdowns a year ago.

The 6’2, 190-pound receiver is a CJFL Player to Watch in 2024!

What is your strength?

My strength is catching everything, creating space on the field and making plays for my team.

What is your personal goal this upcoming season?

My personal goal is to be an All Canadian. Obviously winning a national championship is the most important to all of us on the team, but I think I have upped my game a lot, so I am excited to show that.

What has been your favourite game to play in the CJFL?

I’ve only played one season, but it was our first game against Westshore last year, we were the underdogs and only lost by a touchdown which they scored at the end of the game.  We battled hard against the eventual Conference champs.

Personally, what has been your favourite play so far in your CJFL career?

In our first game of the season last year against Valley, we were losing in the fourth quarter.  Our offence drove the field and I caught a touchdown pass to bring us to within a point.

Edwards and the Rams open the season on Saturday July 20 on the road when they visit the Okanagan Sun.
