Ontario Conference
RB Minkah Abdullah – GTA Grizzlies

With a possible playoff berth on the line Minkah Abdullah had the performance of the CJFL season.  In leading the Grizzlies to a playoff clinching victory he carried the ball 36 times for an incredible 362 yards and two touchdowns.  His yardage set a new Ontario Conference record for a single game total.

BC Conference
RB Rhett Williams – VI Raiders

The Raiders ran the ball to near perfection last weekend in their victory over the Valley Huskers.  The ground assault was led by Rhett Williams who carried the rock 27 times for 247 yards and had a touchdown.  With the win the Raiders clinched third place in the Conference.

Prairie Conference
RB Josh Ewanchyna – Saskatoon Hilltops

For the fourth straight week Ewanchyna has turned in an individual performance worthy enough to win this award.  On Sunday he was a force collecting 177 of the Hilltops 206 yards on the ground on 27 carries.  He also rushed for an incredible four touchdowns.

Defensive Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
DB Jacob Mandel – GTA Grizzlies

Not to be outdone by the Grizzlies’ offence the GTA defence shut down the Ottawa Sooners on route to a playoff berth and their first ever win over the Sooners.  Seemingly all over the field Jacob Mandel was a key force in keeping the Sooners off the score board.  He collected 10 solo tackles, had a knockdown, forced a fumble, and recovered it plus had an interception for a total of 30 defensive points.

BC Conference
DB Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty – VI Raiders

What a game for the veteran defensive back as the Raiders locked down third place in the standings.  He was a ball hawk intercepting three passes, blocked a kick, forced a fumble, knocked down a pass, had three tackles and assisted on one.

Prairie Conference
LB Vince Schiffner – Edmonton Huskies

He was everywhere on Sunday in the Huskies lopsided victory.  Schiffner recorded a 104 yard pick-six, recovered a fumble and returned it 25 yards for a major, had seven solo tackles and had a sack.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
K Gagon Bains – GTA Grizzlies

When the Grizzlies were unable to put the ball in the end zone against the Sooners, kicker Gagon Bains continually flipped the field punting the ball.  Averaging 34.7 yards on his six punts he was able to constantly pin the Sooners in their own end.  In addition to his effective punting Bains also kicked one field goal and converted on four of his five converts.

BC Conference
R Brandon Poulin – Valley Huskers

The BC Conference All-Star helped give his offence excellent field position returning 10 kicks 196 yards.  Specifically he returned six punts for 90 yards, three kick-offs for 73 yards and even returned a missed field goal 33 yards.

Prairie Conference
R Ethan Douglas – Regina Thunder

Douglas showed the rest of the Prairie Conference why teams should kick away from the speedster.   He returned a punt 107 yards for a touchdown on Sunday and averaged 64 yards a return.
