Now FANS you can VOTE for your favourite to be named the CJFL Fans Choice Player of the Week.  Polls close at 4:00pm PST/7:00pm EST on Wednesday.  VOTE HERE.

Offensive Players of the Week

BC Conference
RB Maximillian Joseph – Langley Rams

One of the biggest reasons for the Rams road victory in Westshore was the play of Max Joseph. He was a duel threat carrying the rock 24 times for 226 yards, averaging over nine yards a rush and scored three touchdowns.  He also caught a pass for 22 yards.

Prairie Conference
RB Josh Ewanchyna – Saskatoon Hilltops

In an important game against their provincial rival on Saturday night Josh Ewanchyna was a star racking up 168 yards on 18 carries, averaging over nine yards a carry and scored a touchdown.  The Hilltops remain perfect in a lopsided win over Regina.

Ontario Conference
QB Jake Marquette – Hamilton Hurricanes

In a little under three quarters of action Marquette completed 14 of 15 pass attempts for 323 yards and threw six touchdowns and no interceptions.  Six different receivers caught balls and Marquette’s longest completion on the day went for 71 yards.

Defensive Players of the Week

BC Conference
DB Jeremie Cheng – VI Raiders

The Raiders got back on the winning side last weekend and their stifling defence led the charge.  Jeremie Cheng was a force intercepting two passes, knocked another one down and made two tackles.

Prairie Conference
DB Justin Hodinsky – Edmonton Huskies

The Huskies defence flexed their muscle on Sunday defeating the Winnipeg Rifles.  Hodinsky was seemingly all over the field.  He intercepted a pass, had a fumble recovery, three tackles, assisted on another and knocked down three passes.

Ontario Conference
DL Brendan Hepburn – London Beefeaters

In a critical road game with playoff seeding implications on the line, Brendan Hepburn had his best performance of the season and was a one man wrecking machine in the trenches. He recorded a pair of sacks, forced a fumble, added a solo tackle and assisted on another and for good measure he blocked a kick on special teams.

Special Teams Players of the Week

BC Conference
K Isaac Wegner – Okanagan Sun

Saturday night was Isaac Wegner’s best game of the season recording 19 of the 43 points scored.  He was a perfect 5-5 in field goals and 4-4 in converts.  When called upon to punt he averaged 42 yards on seven punts.

Prairie Conference
LB Oshane Samuels – Edmonton Huskies

The Huskies needed all facets of their game clicking on Sunday to beat the Winnipeg Rifles.  On Special Teams Oshane Samuels stood out setting a new CJFL record blocking two kicks and helping his offence steal back the field position.  This is the second time in three weeks that Samuels has been recognized.

Ontario Conference
WR Dante Lewis – Windsor AKO Fratmen

Windsor punt returners have been burning special teams units all season long but until this past weekend none had been able to break the big one…that is until Dante Lewis fielded a punt under the shadow of his own goal posts and raced 100 yards through the Grizzlies' coverage unit for a back breaking touchdown.  His punt return was the longest return of the OFC season and was a critical play in the Fratmen road victory.
