On the defensive side the Raiders forced eight turnovers including two interceptions by Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty.  They also collected five sacks, two of which from Doyle Westlund.

The Rebels scored 14 of their 17 points in the fourth quarter, both on the ground.  Starting quarterback Mason Brown finished with nine completions for 146 yards and had a rushing touchdown.  Ashton MacKinnon made his return to the Rebels and also scored on the ground.  MacKinnon was the Rebels starting pivot in the 2016 Canadian Bowl.

One of the bright spots on the Rebels defence was Raishaun Provo who collected two and a half sacks.

Next week the Raiders (4-1) will visit the Okanagan Sun (2-2-1) while the Rebels (1-2-1) will welcome the Kamloops Broncos (0-4).

The Huskers offence continues to roll collecting 427 yards of total offence on Saturday night in Kamloops.  Quarterback Julian Wytinck was 14 of 22 for 272 yards and threw a pair of touchdown passes to his favourite target Anthony Dyck.  He also rushed for a major on three carries.

Speaking of the ground game the Huskers tallied 149 yards with both Keegan Vicklund and Von Richardson each finding the end zone.

The Broncos offence was primarily on the ground led by Andrew Pocrnic who rushed 10 times and scored two touchdowns.

The Rams kicker Jayden Sheilan hit a field goal late in the game to secure the win for the visitors on Saturday night in a game that highlighted two very good defences.

On the offensive side Rams quarterback Duncan Little was 12 of 25 for 170 yards and found Jevon Cottoy for a touchdown.
Arguably the most exciting play came from the Rams special teams when Jake Firlotte returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown.

The Sun offence struggled on the ground with just 46 yards.  Quarterback Keith Zyla did find some success through the air completing 14 passes for 173 yards and hit Javen Kaechele and Kelton Kouri for touchdowns.

In the dying seconds Sun kicker Isaac Wegner’s 57 yard field goal attempt fell short, handing the win to the Rams.

Next week the Rams (2-3) will host the Valley Huskers (4-1) while the Sun (2-2-1) will welcome the VI Raiders (4-1).
