Last season the Edmonton Huskies spent time on top of the CJFL Top 10 Power Rankings and looked like they could be a force in the Prairie Conference playoffs.  However they stumbled in the semi-final and lost the Regina Thunder 24-21.

That experience however will prove extremely valuable coming into this season as they return a number of key pieces including the reigning CJFL Coach of the Year Iain MacLean.

He talks with Ryan Watters about the upcoming season, the strength of his club this year and life after the graduation of All-Star quarterback Brad Launhardt.

Head Coach: Iain MacLean (6th season)

2017 Result: finished 7-1, lost in the Prairie Conference semi-final on their home turf to the Regina Thunder 24-21.

Starting QB: Tommy Yanchuk (1st year as the starter)

Key Departures: Brad Launhardt, Jimmie Airey, Connor Bergersen

Expected Team Strength:  Coach MacLean believes his offensive line will be solid this season along with the defensive backs.

2018 Schedule Quirk:  They will play a home and home with the Regina Thunder.  On September 2nd they will host the Thunder, before traveling to  Regina the following week.
