The Kamloops Broncos are looking to turn a corner this season and get back to the playoffs, a place they have not seen since 2015 when they finished 5-5.  They have been slowly starting to get larger numbers in camp giving Head Coach Brad Yamaoka more depth at key positions.

He feels that over the last four years they have been able to bring in not only more players, but quality players.

The biggest hole they will need to fill is at the quarterback position after the departure of former CJFL Rookie of the Year Colby Henkel.  Following last season he committed to attend the University of Windsor here in 2018.  A possible opening day starter for the Broncos is Rylan Matters who started for the Langley Rams last season and threw for 1,064 yards.

The Broncos will get a massive test right out of the gate as they welcome the Okanagan Sun to town on Sunday.

Head Coach: Brad Yamaoka (4th season)
2017 Result: 2-8
Starting QB: Rylan Matters (Langley Rams)

Key Departures: Colby Henkel, Max Joseph, Jesse Zajaros

Key Additions: Rylan Matters, Reid Vankoughnett

Expected team strengths:  Coach Yamaoka believes his defence will be the strength of the club in 2018.  There has been some turnover but is excited about the players they have brought in.

2018 Schedule Quirk:  The Broncos will face the Langley Rams twice in the final three weeks of the season.  They will visit the Rams on September 29th, then host them on October 13 in the regular season finale.
