In order to be eligible to win the CJFL Past Commissioner’s award a player must show commitment to his community to make it a better place.  Gunnar Thurrott of the Edmonton Huskies has done just that.

Gunnar has been the core leader and contributor in the Huskies community outreach program as a fifth year senior.  His volunteer hours have inspired teammates, coaches and friends to get involved.

He talks with Ryan Watters about why he does what he does as he’s most deserving of the 2017 CJFL Past Commissioner’s award winner.
