The Raiders took care of their home field on Saturday with a big win over the Huskers collecting 347 yards of total offence.

Back-up quarterback Jamie Ybarra got his first start of the season and was outstanding with 14 completions on 18 attempts for 213 yards and threw three touchdowns.  Brycen Mayoh caught two of those touchdown passes and 101 yards.   Adam Finnick also caught a 21 yard major.

Defensively the Raiders forced six turnovers including an outstanding play by Josh Paisley.  He blocked a punt, recovered it himself and battled for a 23 yard touchdown.  Jeremie Cheng also picked off two passes.

The Huskers amassed 200 yards through the air against the Raiders as Noah Falconer completed 12 passes and two touchdowns.  Marius Anghel was his favourite target who caught four passes for 124 yards and both touchdowns.

Their defence got into the scoring as well when Josh Robinson intercepted a pass and returned it 93 yards to the house.

The Raiders (4-3-1) now prepare for a date with the Kamloops Broncos (1-7) on Saturday night while the Huskers (0-8) host the Westshore Rebels (7-1).

It was a classic tale of two halves.  The Rams scored 27 points in the first half while the Rebels tallied 22 in the second and clawed back to win their seventh straight.

Quarterback Scott Borden was 15 of 26 for 176 yards and two touchdowns leading the Rebels.  He found D’Saun Greenaway eight times for 83 yards and both majors. Borden also rushed 16 times for 99 yards and another major while Trey Campbell had 20 carries for 93 yards and a score.

The Rams on the other hand scored all but one of their points in the first half.  Joe Carter rushed 14 times for 70 yards and two touchdowns.  Colby Peters had their other major.

Saturday afternoon the Rebels (7-1) will visit the Valley Huskers (0-8) while the Rams (4-4) will travel to face the Okanagan Sun (7-1-1) on Sunday afternoon.

The Sun used the passing attack and a pair of quarterbacks for their seventh win of the season.  Nick Wenman and Keith Zyla combined for 15 completions, 236 yards and two touchdowns, both caught by Nathanael Anderson.  As a matter of fact Anderson hauled in six passes for a game high 131 yards.

On the defensive side Mitch Lyons had two sacks for the Sun and Cody Thompson and Hayward Beasley each had one. Tye Kitzman intercepted a pass for his Conference leading sixth.

The Broncos scored all of their points from the kicking game. Landon Munk was good on three of four field goals.   The one he missed still collected a single point.

Defensively they tallied three sacks and Kaden Cook had an interception.

The Sun (7-1-1) will welcome the Langley Rams (4-4) on Sunday afternoon.   The Broncos (1-7) will host the VI Raiders (4-3-1) on Saturday night.
