Ontario Conference
QB Clarke McCallum – London Beefeaters

The Beefeaters hosted their home opener on Saturday and the home side did not disappoint.  Quarterback Clarke McCallum was solid finishing 15 of 22 for 236 yards and threw four touchdown passes.  When a pass wasn’t there he rushed four times for 57 yards and scored two more touchdowns.  In all he accounted for 293 yards and six touchdowns.

BC Conference
RB Nathan Lund – Langley Rams

Up until Week 5 Nathan Lund had been relatively quiet…not anymore.  He dominated on the field rushing eight times for 82 and a touchdown to compliment his six receptions for 109 yards and a major.   In all he had 14 touches compiling 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Defensive Players of the Week

Prairie Conference

Defensively the Rifles put a great deal of pressure on the Edmonton Wildcats offence on Saturday night. They combined to record nine sacks, led by Samson Abbott who had three of them along with six tackles and three special teams tackles.

Ontario Conference
DB Brayden Hill – Hamilton Hurricanes

He was very busy in the Hurricanes secondary on Sunday afternoon at Tim Horton’s Field.  He made five solo tackles and assisted on five others.  After his defensive duties were done, he flipped around to the offensive side and played quarterback after the Hurricanes starter went down.

BC Conference
LB Eli Haynes – Okanagan Sun

He’s a player with a nose for the ball, seemingly involved with every tackle and Saturday afternoon was no different  The fifth year veteran collected a game high nine solo tackles, forced a fumble and had a knockdown.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Prairie Conference
DB Oshane Samuels – Edmonton Huskies

He tied a Prairie Conference record with two blocked kicks on Sunday afternoon.  He also collected three tackles.
