Offensive Player of the Week
QB Nick Wenman – Okanagan Sun

In his first career CJFL start quarterback Nick Wenman was simply outstanding guiding the Okanagan Sun to a shutout victory over their BC Interior Rivals the Kamloops Broncos.  Wenman finished the contest 20 of 30 for 278 yards, averaging 13.9 yards a competition and threw three touchdown passes.  He avoided any potential mental mistakes and even gained a yard on two carries.  With the win the Sun moved to 2-0.

Defensive Player of the Week
DB Kyle Clarot –Langley Rams

The 19 year old Kyle Clarot had one of, if not the play of the week, intercepting a pass on his own four yard line and returned it 106 yards for a touchdown.  The play put an emphatic stamp on the Rams defensive shutout.  The Langley native also collected two tackles and had a knockdown in the Rams first win of the season.

Special Teams Player of the Week
R Nathanael Anderson – Okanagan Sun

Field position is one of the most important pieces of any football game and thanks to the five punt returns of third year returner Nathanael Anderson the Sun offence played on a short field most of the night.   He averaged 19 yards a return, totalling 95 yards on the weekend, with his longest being 28 yards.  To compliment his return game, Anderson also had a game high seven receptions for 129 yards and had a touchdown.
