This Saturday the 15th Annual East-West Bowl will be hosted by U SPORTS (formally CIS) on the campus of Laval University and feature Canada’s top university prospects for the 2018 CFL Draft.

The CJFL will be well represented with seven former players suiting up.  Four of which will play for the West side including quarterback Kyle Siemens and defensive lineman Brett Wade, both played for the Regina Thunder.   Matt Kozun, a former Saskatoon Hilltop (pictured) and Robbie Yochim a former Okanagan Sun will also suit up for the West side.

On the East sideline, there are three former CJFL players ready to make an impression. Safety Brandon Jennings and defensive back Mandella Loggale, both former Edmonton Wildcats will join offensive lineman Keiler Cherry, who played for the Hilltops.

Both teams have been practicing all week in preparation for the showcase.  Last season the West defeated the East 29-14 for their first win since 2013, and now lead the overall series 8-6.

Kick-off is set for 12:30pm EST/9:30am PST on Saturday from TELUS-UL Stadium.  The CJFL wishes good luck to all seven players.

Closer to home the Winnipeg Rifles and Kamloops Broncos open Spring Camp this weekend, joining seven other teams that have already hit the field.
