For just the third time in history the VI Raiders and Westshore Rebels square off in a playoff game, but first on the home turf of Westhills Stadium.  It’s also the Rebels first home playoff game since the 2004 season.

The last time these two met in the playoffs was in 2011, the Raiders winning 49-17.  The only other post season meeting was in 2006, the Raiders winning 18-15.

Since 2005 the Raiders have owned this rivalry in the regular season with a 23-1-1 record.  The only Rebels win and tie came this year. Overall the Raiders have outscored the Rebels 1018-339 all-time and have shutout the Rebels twice.
Saturday night’s game will not only have the playoff atmosphere, but whenever these two Island rivals meet, something amazing usually happens.
