The best performances from the PFC

The Canadian Junior Football League is proud to present the Players of the Week in Week 12 of the regular season.  With the BC Conference enjoying the Thanksgiving bye week before the CJFL Canadian Bowl Championship Series begins all three players hail from the Prairie Conference.

Fans can now VOTE for the CJFL Fans Choice Top Performer of the Week HERE.  The polls will close on Thursday at 12:00pm PST.

Offensive Player of the Week:

RB Victor St. Pierre-Laviolette – Regina Thunder
The Thunder could not have scripted their last regular season home game any better.  Not only did they play their final game at Mosaic Stadium, but they handed the visiting the Calgary Colts their first loss of the season in an exciting 30-23 win.  A big reason was running back Victor St. Pierre-Laviolette who rushed 19 times for 234 yards and scored a 95 yard touchdown with under six minutes to play that proved to be the game winner.

Defensive Player of the Week:

LB Paul Toth – Regina Thunder
The Thunder saw their defence open the scoring on Thanksgiving Sunday as linebacker Paul Toth intercepted a pass on the third play from scrimmage and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown.   He added seven tackles and five assists.

Special Teams Player of the Week:

R Isaac Fagnan – Edmonton Wildcats
One of the bright spots on the Wildcats this past weekend was returner Isaac Fagnan.  He accounted for the lone Wildcats touchdown thanks to a 95 yard kick-off return for a major, his first of the season.  Fagnan also returned a pair of missed field goals 46 yards and a total of four kick-offs for 124 yards.
