Six former CJFL players will suit up

The 2015 CIS East-West Bowl kicks off this weekend and will feature six former CJFL players.

For the most part the game will highlight CIS players eligible for the 2016 CFL draft.  The East team is compiled of players from AUS and RSEQ schools, while the West is made up of Canada West and OUA schools.

The game will take place at McGill University’s Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in Montreal on Saturday night at 7:00pm.  It’s the first time McGill is hosting this game taking over for Western University which held the event for the past six years.

The West team will see five former CJFL players suit up:

OL Alex McKay Manitoba 6-5 285 (Winnipeg Rifles)
OL Drew Digout Saskatchewan 6-4 265 (Okanagan Sun)
REC Dustin Pedersen Manitoba 5-11 215 (VI Raiders)
DB Dylan Kemp Saskatchewan 5-11 195 (Saskatoon Hilltops)
DL Boyd Richardson UBC 6-3 235 (Regina Thunder)

The East team has one former CJFLer on their roster:

QB Brandon Leyh (pictured) Mount Allison 6-2 220 (Langley Rams)

Over the past 12 games, the West has the advantage winning this event seven times.  Although the East have won four of the last five years including 19-12 last year.
