A player with a unique perspective of the two teams battling in the Canadian Bowl is Jahlani Gilbert-Knorren of the Edmonton Wildcats.

In 2013 he guided the Langley Rams to their third consecutive BCFC Cullen Cup championship appearance as the quarterback.  One season later, a Conference switch and position switch, saw him on the field against the Saskatoon Hilltops as a defensive back.
