The PFC Game of the Week is a rematch as the Winnipeg Rifles (3-3) host the Saskatoon Hilltops (4-2).

Last week in Saskatoon the Hilltops beat the Rifles 48-23 despite the Rifles racking up 417 yards of total offense.

Once again this game will feature two completely different offenses.  The Hilltops like to pound the ball and win the trenches with the Conference’s top rusher Wayndel Lewis.   He’s carried a Conference high 749 yards on 81 carries and has six touchdowns.  Last week against the Rifles he carried 13 times for 66 yards and had two majors.

The Rifles on the other hand are a pass first offense with the top rated quarterback in the Conference.  Tyler Vieira completes 62.3% of his passes and has an efficiency rating of 93.3%.  He’s also the only PFC quarterback to have thrown 10 touchdown passes.    Kurt Goodrich has been his main target with 36 catches and 556 yards and four TDs.  Last week in Saskatoon, Goodrich hauled in nine balls for 105 yards.

Defensively the Hilltops have allowed 118 points, while the Rifles have allowed 179 points. 

The Rifles are led by defensive back Jason Kelly with his Conference high five interceptions, while Spencer Richie leads the PFC with four sacks.  Linebacker Brady Carter has a team high 25 tackles.

The Hilltops are led by Justin Filteau and his 30 solo tackles and 92 defensive points.  Their “D” leads the Conference with a +10 in takeaways/giveaways.
