Week 6 of the PFC saw three lopsided scores as the Regina Thunder, Edmonton Wildcats and Saskatoon Hilltops each tasted victory.

The Game of the Week was in Winnipeg as the Rifles hosted the Regina Thunder in a battle for first place.  Sunday afternoon the Thunder collected 525 yards of total offense and pounded the Rifles 43-20.

The defense also played a major role on Sunday as 14 of their 43 points came from two fumble recoveries for touchdowns.  Brett Selinger jumped on a loose ball and rumbled 41 yards to the house, while Chris Tunnicliffe picked up a fumble and took it back 27 yards for a score.  Tunnicliffe also had an interception, as did Taylor Garrett.  Brandon Whitehouse collected six solo tackles to lead the unit.

With the win the Thunder (4-1) take sole possession of first place and will host the Calgary Colts (1-4) on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm.

The Winnipeg Rifles fall for just the second time this season, both on their home turf.

With the Rifles run game frustrated with the Thunder defense, quarterback Tyler Vieira finished 21 of 36 for 301 yards and threw a pair of TD passes.  He connected with seven different receivers as Julian Banares caught five balls for a game high 126 yards.  Niclas Bembenek made six receptions for 91 yards and touchdown, while Alexander Tachinski also caught a touchdown pass.

On the defensive side of the ball the Rifles forced two interceptions, both made by Jason Kelly who is now tied for the Conference lead with four.  Both Brooks Falloon and Braedy Will had four tackles each and Brady Carter had the lone sack.

The Rifles (3-2) will play in Saskatoon against the Hilltops (3-2) in a battle for second place on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm.

The Huskies (1-4) will get a rematch on Saturday night when they take on the Wildcats (3-2).

The Saskatoon Hilltops offense continues to fill the scoreboard with a 47-19 victory over the Calgary Colts.  The Hilltops lead the Conference with 175 points scored.

The Hilltops seemingly scored from all angles getting points from their offense, defense and special teams.

On the ground Logan Fischer was Mr. Touchdown, scoring three times on just seven carries and 35 yards.

Not only did Braun catch seven passes, but he also returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown.

Defensively the Hilltops forced five turnovers. Dylan Larson intercepted a pass and returned it 30 yards for a pick six.  Cameron Schnitzler, Austin Thorarinson and James Vause also had interceptions.  Tom Schnitzler jumped on a fumble and Dillon Buckle had the lone sack.

The Hilltops (3-2) will host the Winnipeg Rifles (3-2) on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm in a very important game.

The Calgary Colts lose for the fourth time this season despite outgaining the Hilltops with 382 yards of total offense.
