The Huskies hosted the launch of the Alberta CFL Project, "Leading Change"

This past Monday the Edmonton Huskies hosted a “Leading Change” event and opened some players eyes.

The Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters has recruited the Edmonton Eskimos & Calgary Stampeders to take a stand against violence towards women and girls in, “Leading Change: The Alberta CFL Project.” Top CFL players from both teams are heading to schools and sports clubs across the province to facilitate conversations about this issue; equipping young men with the skills and confidence to call out their peers on toxic behaviours and lead the change in ending the culture of violence & abuse towards women.

The Huskies held an introduction to the project, trained by Eskimos players guiding them through training exercises at the top of the event.  In October, the entire Edmonton Huskies team will go through the full training program.
