Start your own PFC with an existing QB

If you were starting your own Prairie Football Conference (PFC) team in 2014 and you could pluck one quarterback from any of the current six teams, which one would you steal?

The reigning Canadian Bowl champions have their leader Asher Hastings back at the helm after a great 2013 regular season, capped with a memorable Canadian Bowl.

Hastings, a pocket passer, finished the year completing 118 passes for 1,765 yards and threw 17 touchdowns, collecting a PFC best 103.2% pass efficiency rating.  In the Canadian Bowl Hastings was named the Offensive Player of the Game after completing 23 of 36 for 377 and tying a Canadian Bowl record with five touchdown passes.

In Saskatoon, the graduation of Matt Karpinka leaves Jared Andreychuck in the #1 slot heading into Main Camp.  Last season the mobile QB finished 14 of 31 for 175 yards with two touchdowns and a 57.9% passer efficiency rating.

The Edmonton Huskies will have Trevor Erdmann back at the helm after a very good 2013. He completed 119 of 212 passes for 1,690 yards and threw 13 touchdown passes.  His passer efficiency rating was 84.8%

The Huskies city rivals the Edmonton Wildcats will see Jordan Olson returning after he finished 82 of 143 last season for 1,316 yards and six touchdowns.  With a passer efficiency rating of 78.9%, his completion percentage was 57.3% in 2013.

In Calgary the Colts used three quarterbacks in 2013, Brett Hunchuk finishing with the best passer efficiency rating of 60.3%.  He completed 21 of 42 for 267 yards but didn’t throw a touchdown but is the projected starter in 2014.

The Winnipeg Rifles have a very large hole at the quarterback position after the graduation of Ryan Marsch.  The PFC leader in completions (136), yards (2,588) and touchdowns (22).  He passer efficiency rating is 90.2%.

The PFC season opens the weekend of August 16-17.  If you were starting an expansion team and were allowed to steal one quarterback from the six current teams, which one would you snag?
