It’s the Thanksgiving regular season finale in the Prairie Conference with all six teams concluding their schedule and with playoff positioning still yet to be determined.

SUNDAY

Edmonton Wildcats @ Regina Thunder – Sunday October 12, 1:00pm – Leibel Field | WATCH HERE

Both teams are still fighting for something on this Sunday afternoon as these two meet for the only time this season.  With a victory, the Thunder would clinch homefield advantage throughout the CJFL Canadian Bowl playoffs by finishing first in the Conference.  Meanwhile the Wildcats need to win and the Edmonton Huskies to lose to leap into the fourth and final postseason spot.   The Thunder are coming off an emotional win at Saskatoon and trying to not have a letdown and the Wildcats desperately need to snap their two-game losing streak.  They will need to find a way to score on this Thunder defence that doesn’t allow much.

Calgary Colts @ Saskatoon Hilltops – Sunday October 5, 1:00pm – SMF Field | WATCH HERE

The Hilltops will host a home playoff date and still have an outside shot and clinching first-place and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.  They first need to beat the Colts on Sunday and get some help, needing the Wildcats to beat the Thunder.  In that case, they would leap back into first and clinch the Conference.  The Colts are fighting for their playoff lives and have a bit of a complicated road to the postseason.  They need to upset the Hilltops and have the Wildcats and Rifles lose in order to move into fourth place.  What makes it even more of an uphill climb is that the Hilltops smacked them 51-3 in their first meeting in Calgary.  The Hilltops are coming off their second loss of the season while the Colts have dropped their last three.

Winnipeg Rifles @ Edmonton Huskies – Sunday October 5, 1:00pm – JP Bowl | WATCH HERE

This will be an exciting game as they meet for the first and only time this season, with the winner clinching the third seed in the Conference.  The Huskies have been the hotter team as of late winning their last two, and their last three of four to get them back into a playoff position.  The Rifles finally snapped their four-game losing streak last weekend, squeaking out a two-point win in their final home game.  Depending on what happens in the other games on Sunday, the loser of this game could be eliminated from postseason play.
