For the first time in franchise history the Prince George Kodiaks have clinched a spot in the CJFL Canadian Bowl playoffs. They are in their fourth season of existence and head coach Jamie Boreham has led this team to the third seed in the BC Conference.
Quarterback Sawyer Thiessen has been the offensive catalyst in his second season with the club. Coming into the final weekend of the regular season, he has thrown for 1542 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 300 yards and three more majors.
He sits down to talk with Ryan Watters about how this season has unfolded, what this playoff berth means to the Kodiaks organization and what it was like wearing jerseys on Saturday night to honour the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.
