Some very important impact players have graduated

The Langley Rams had an excellent regular season in 2024 finishing as the second seed in the BC Conference with a record of 7-3.

Offensively they did just enough to win games averaging 25.6 points, fourth most in the Conference.  However, defensively was a different story as one of the stingiest in the entire CJFL allowing only 15.7 a game.  They finished a +3 in turnovers and were tied for the Conference lead with 21 interceptions.

Following this season, they graduate 13 very important pieces to their success.

REC Terrel Jones has been one of the best in the CJFL and in 2024 he led the BC Conference with 813 receiving yards with a 24.6 yards per catch average on 33 receptions and he added seven touchdowns.

REC Isaiah Edwards was on the other side of the field giving the Rams a very potent 1-2 punch at receiver.  He made 25 receptions for 324 yards, averaging 13 yards a catch and tallied one touchdown.

LB Howard Jiao had a massive impact in the middle of the field on the defensive side making 32 solo tackles, third most on the Rams, added nine assists and a sack.

LB Sammy Okanlawon leaves another hole in the Rams linebacker core after graduation.  Despite not putting up the numbers Jiao did with only two tackles and forced a fumble, he was still a major part of their defence and made it difficult for the opposition to move the ball.

DB Dean Meurrens is one of five defensive backs that have now graduated from the Rams secondary.  He was great in 2024 recording 21 tackles, had an interception that he returned 70 yards for a touchdown, recovered a fumble and had two assisted tackles.

DB Harvey Mahamud was also an important part of the Rams secondary this past season collecting 19 tackles, seven assists and intercepted a pass.

DB Taran Birdi graduates after a very productive season gathering 18.5 tackles and three knockdowns.

DB Silas Marchan leaves another spot in the Rams secondary after making three tackles during the regular season and had a knockdown.

DB Rohan Sharma did his damage on special teams as well as in the secondary recording 2.5 tackles.

DL Landon Sommers made his presence felt on the line and leaves a large hole for the Rams to try and replace.  He made eight tackles this year, assisted on seven others and had a sack and forced a fumble.

DL Harshaad Jouhal is another lineman that graduates from the Rams program after a productive 2024 making 6.5 tackles and hurried the opposition’s offensive attack.

Over on the offensive side of the line the Rams graduate a pair of offensive linemen in Connor Burns and Zack Rohan.  They were both important pieces of the offensive attack allowing the Rams quarterbacks time to make a read and play down the field and gave their running backs lanes to chew up yards.

The CJFL wish all of these players a happy graduation!
