It’s the Labour Day long weekend and the CJFL will see the BC and Ontario Conferences in live action and the Prairie Conference teams will enjoy a bye week.

Saturday August 31

Ontario Conference

Hamilton Hurricanes @ London Beefeaters – Saturday September 31, 3:00pm – City Wide Field | WATCH HERE

It’s the back half of a home-and-home when the Beefeaters host the Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon.  Last weekend the Beefeaters got their first win of the season with a 50-11 victory over the Hurricanes in Hamilton and the game set a new single season attendance record in the Ontario Conference.  This is also the final regular season meeting between these two rivals.

This is the second and final time the Rams and Raiders meet this regular season after the Rams scored a 28-17 victory earlier this month.

The Rams have won four straight holding the opposition to eight points or less in three of the victories.  The only team to score more was the game against the Raiders.   Speaking of the Raiders they have lost two in a row and have given up an average of 40 points in these setbacks.

The Sun are coming off a bye week to rest some bumps and bruises while the Broncos are coming off their first win of the campaign, an impressive victory on the road in Prince George with quarterback Clark Snider the reigning Player of the Week after five touchdown passes.

Things won’t be as easy offensively for the Broncos against a highly skilled and talented Sun defence who are not only coming off their bye week, but recorded a shutout in their game prior to the break.
