Week 6 of the CJFL season is here with all three Conferences back in action.

SATURDAY AUGUST 24

BC Conference

Valley Huskers @ Langley Rams – Saturday August 24, 4:00pm – McLeod Stadium | WATCH HERE

It’s the first of two between these very close rivals as the Rams welcome the Huskers. The Rams have won three straight and play their next three at home, while the Huskers are coming off a loss and are on the road for the second time this season.

Avg Points For: Huskers 30.7 – Rams 30.7
Avg Points Allowed: Huskers 25.7 – Rams 13

Kamloops Broncos @ Prince George Kodiaks – Saturday August 24, 6:00pm – Masich Stadium | WATCH HERE

These two teams have combined for only one win so far this season as they meet for the first of three during the 2024 campaign.  The Kodiaks are at home for their third time while the Broncos hit the road for their second away game.

VI Raiders @ Westshore Rebels – Saturday August 24, 7:00pm – Starlight Stadium | WATCH HERE

It’s the first of a home-and-home between the Raiders and Rebels this weekend as the battle for Vancouver Island supremacy opens.  It’s also the first of three meetings on the season.  The Rebels are coming off a big win on the road at Valley and the Raiders are coming off their bye week.

Prairie Conference

Edmonton Huskies @ Edmonton Wildcats – Saturday August 24, 7:00pm – Emerald Hills | WATCH HERE

It’s the first two match-ups this season between these crosstown rivals.  The Huskies are coming off their first win of the season and begin three straight on the road.  The Wildcats have lost two in a row to open the season and have scored only 10 points in their first two games, getting shutout last weekend.

Ontario Conference

London Beefeaters @ Hamilton Hurricanes – Saturday August 24, 7:00pm – Tim Hortons Field | WATCH HERE

Saturday night’s tilt between the ‘Canes and Beefs has been dubbed “Pack the Park!”  The Hurricanes are hoping to break a 49-year attendance record for an Ontario Conference regular season game. They have also teamed with two charities to try and raise much needed funds and food donations. 

It’s also the first of a home-and-home between these two teams after they both suffered a loss last weekend to open the season.

Quinte Skyhawks @ St. Clair Saints – Saturday August 24, 7:00pm – Acumen Stadium | WATCH HERE

This is the only meeting of the regular season between these two teams as the Skyhawks make the six-hour trip south to Windsor to meet the Saints.  Both teams are coming off a win in their first game.

SUNDAY AUGUST 25

Prairie Conference

Winnipeg Rifles @ Regina Thunder – Sunday August 25, 1:00pm – Leibel Field | WATCH HERE

They meet for the second time in three weeks after the Thunder blasted the Rifles 61-14 in Winnipeg in the first game of the season.  This is the last time these two will see each other outside of the playoffs this season.  The Thunder have won two straight road games while the Rifles have dropped their first two at home this year.

Saskatoon Hilltops @ Calgary Colts – Sunday August 25, 1:00pm – Shouldice Field | WATCH HERE

This will be the only time the Hilltops and Colts see each other during the regular season and is a rematch of last year’s semi-final. The Hilltops are on the road for the second straight game and are in the middle of a three-game road swing.  The Colts are back at home this week after a tough two-point loss last week at the Huskies.

Ontario Conference 

GTA Grizzlies @ Ottawa Sooners – Sunday August 25, 1:00pm – University of Ottawa | WATCH HERE

It’s the lone meeting of the season between these two teams as the Sooners host the Grizzlies on the campus of the University of Ottawa.   The Sooners are coming off an important win over Hamilton in their first game while the Grizzlies were shutout last week.
