It’s Week 5 of the CJFL and for the first time this year all three conferences will see action with the Ontario Conference finally kicking off.

Prairie Conference

It’s the first of two meetings this season between these two teams.  The Colts are trying to win back-to-back games over the city of Edmonton to open the season while the Huskies play their only home game in the month of August.

It’s the only meeting of the season between these two teams, both trying to take sole possession of second place in the BC Conference.  The winner of this game will own the tiebreaker card down the road if it comes into play.

It’s the only meeting of the season between the Rams and Broncos and is an important game for both teams.  The Rams have won two straight and are trying to hang tough in the Conference standings while the Broncos are trying to get into the win column.

This is the first of two meetings this season between these two teams.  Last year they met only once, and both finished 4-4 but made a quick exit in the Canadian Bowl playoffs.   The win by the Hurricanes last year gave them the tiebreaker and allowed them to finish third in the standings.
