The Nanaimo based team is looking for a leader

The VI Raiders storied franchise is looking for their next head coach.

Winning is part of the Raiders’ fabric, capturing three CJFL Canadian Bowls and eight BC Conference Championship titles. They are enshrined in the BC Football Hall of Fame in just 18 years of existence and are a high sought after destination for junior football players from across the country playing out of beautiful Nanaimo, BC.

The Raiders are looking for a head coach who shares the same passion of winning and who can help young people grow athletically and personally.

They are not only looking for just a head coach, but a leader that has a strong background in football, good organizational skills, as well as someone who works well with people.

The head coach will join an established coaching staff along with some fresh faces looking to make their mark and help players grow into their full potential.  Just before the holidays the Raiders announced the following coaches have joined their staff and front office:

Shawn Arabsky is the new Associate General Manager, after winning a Cullen Cup with the Raiders in 2017.

Harvey Stables was named the new defensive coordinator.

Former Raiders receiver and Conference All-Star North Rainey is the new receivers coach.

Mike Gillcash has been named the new Assistant Head Coach playing for the Victoria Rebels from 1997-2001.

Interested candidates are asked to submit a resume, via email, to the President of the Raiders, Kabel Atwall at atwall@shaw.ca prior to January 31, 2023.

This is an open competition and consideration will be given to all candidates.
