The Okanagan Sun are the BC Conference Cullen Cup champs after a complete dismantling of the Westshore Rebels on Saturday.
The Sun claimed a 38-0 victory with 412 yards of total offence compared to just 96 for the Rebels.

It’s difficult to say which side of the ball played the best for the Sun as both the offence and defence were incredible in the championship game.   Their defence swallowed the Rebels with six sacks: two from Romario Reid and two more from Aiden Hennessey.  They forced four turnovers as Kemarr Bishop intercepted a pass and Tyler Going and Michael MacDonald each jumped on a fumble.

On the offensive side quarterback Dominic Britton completed 16 passes for 230 yards and threw touchdown passes to Mike O’Shea and Colby Miletto.  He also ran for a major as did Jevon Garwood and Tristen Peddle.

The Sun will now head to Ontario to face the St. Clair Saints in the CJFL National Semi-Final game.  Kick-off is set for 7:00pm EST on Saturday October 29th in Windsor at Acumen Stadium. It’s the first time the Sun play in the National Semi-Final game since 2004 when they beat the St. Leonard Cougars 24-7. The last time they played in Windsor was in 1999 when they were defeated by the then named Fratman 32-29.  It’s also the last time a team from Ontario won a CJFL national game.
