The CJFL in conjunction with the BC Conference are proud to announce the Football Canada Players of the Week following Week 3 of the regular season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Reece Wyke – Valley Huskers
He had an outstanding individual performance on Saturday as the Huskers finally got over the hump and beat their closest rival, the Langley Rams. Reece Wyke was a major reason why as he controlled the ground game with 19 carries for 117 yards and scored a touchdown.
Defensive Player of the Week
Tarick Polius – Westshore Rebels
On Saturday the Westshore Rebels defence helped them to a lopsided win over their island rivals and Tarick Polius had a massive game collecting four solo tackles, two assisted stops and had 1.5 sacks. Even when he wasn’t in on a tackle his pass rush completely changed the game.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Gerren Hardisty – Westshore Rebels
One of the most exciting plays in the CJFL this past weekend came from the Westshore Rebels special teams when Gerren Hardisty returned a kick-off 90 yards for a touchdown. He added a second kick-off return and finished with 122 return yards to win this weekly honour.
