Coming into the 2022 CJFL season the Valley Huskers have high hopes with plenty of talented players returning, hungry for a long playoff run.

That said, they do have some key pieces from the 2021 season not returning as part of the CJFL Grad Class. Perhaps the biggest piece not eligible to comeback is running back Brandon O’Connor.  In all six players have graduated from the CJFL and the Huskers program.

RB Brandon O’Connor – he was a focus for the Huskers offence in 2021 with 113 carries and 396 yards along with five touchdowns.  He was also an important part of the blocking schemes during a passing play.

PK Ethan Homan – he and his right foot nailed six field goals in 2021 and statistically he was the BC Conference top punter.  He booted 54 times averaging a Conference high 39.1 yards and collected a pair of singles on route to being named the Conference’s All-Star punter.  He also averaged 54.5 yards on a kick-off along with being named the Special Teams Player of the Week three times.

DB Chris Mushenza – as a key piece of the Huskers defence he collected 16 tackles, one assisted stop and three sacks last season.

DB Jordan Farry – he was an integral part of the Huskers secondary making 14 tackles, three assisted stops and had a pair of knockdowns.

DL Daniel Kabongo – he was an important part of the Huskers line in 2021 consistently putting pressure in the opposition’s backfield.

WR Graham Hagstrom – as part of the receiving corp in 2021, Hagstrom is a big, strong option that will be tough to fill this upcoming season.
