There are five players that are graduating from the Edmonton Wildcats

The Edmonton Wildcats finished with a 2-6 record during the 2021 season.  They traveled to Winnipeg for a Canadian Bowl quarterfinal where their season ended in a 29-18 loss to the Rifles, but gained valuable experience to set themselves up for a push in 2022.

That playoff loss spelled the end of the line for five players and their CJFL careers.  Three of them were key additions to the Wildcats’ passing attack as all five join the CJFL Class of 2021.

WR Lucas Howe – in his fifth and final season he led the Wildcats with 359 reception yards, an 18.8 yards per catch average and six touchdowns.  In total he caught 19 passes and had an average of 17.3 yards from scrimmage.

WR Jacob Mihailides – he spent five seasons with the Wildcats and led them in 2021 with 23 receptions.  He averaged 13 yards a catch, and had 301 yards of receiving and a touchdown.

WR Carter Lawson – he played four seasons with the Wildcats at 6’2/180.  In 2021 he averaged 12.5 yards on eight catches for 100 total yards.

OL Anthony Rahe – for the past five seasons he has been an anchor for the Wildcats offensive line and will be missed in 2022.  His 6’4, 325 pound frame will be a large hole to fill.

DB Chase Larose – his veteran leadership in the Wildcats secondary will be missed after playing five seasons in the CJFL.  In 2021 he collected 16 tackles, had an assisted stop and had a knockdown.
