The Ontario Conference announced their Most Outstanding Players and Coach of the Year for the 2021 season as a build up to the Ontario championship game on Saturday when the #1 St. Clair Fratmen host the #2 London Beefeaters
Ontario Conference Outstanding Players:
Coach of the Year – Mike LaChance – St. Clair Fratmen (8-0). He led the Fratmen to another first place finish and home field advantage throughout the Ontario playoffs. He’s named Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
Outstanding Offensive Lineman – Kyle Jennings – St. Clair Fratmen
Outstanding Defensive Lineman – Jordan Fletcher – London Beefeaters - 21 tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble
Alex Stajic Memorial Special Teams – Codey McRoberts – London Beefeaters
Return Specialist – Dante Lewis – St. Clair Fratmen – 20 punt returns for 410 yards, 2 touchdowns, 13 kick-off returns, 341 yards and 1 touchdown
Offensive Rookie of the Year – Geoff Clubine – London Beefeaters – 52 carries for 461 yards and 4 touchdowns
Defensive Rookie of the Year – Craig Gonsalves – Quinte Skyhawks - 21 tackles, 6 sacks, 4 knockdowns, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery
Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year – Defensive Lineman – Jordan Fletcher – London Beefeaters - 21 tackles, 4 assisted tackles, 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble
Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year – Running Back – Jacob Savoni – St. Clair Fratmen - he won the Ontario Conference rushing title with 117 carries for 924 yards and 16 touchdowns
Saturday the Fratmen will host the Beefeaters in the Ontario Conference championship game for the second straight season. The winner will host the 2021 Canadian Bowl on December 4th.
