Offensive Players of the Week

BC Conference
WR Alexander Bonnetplume – VI Raiders

For the second time in three weeks Alexander Bonnetplume has been honoured with this award.  Over the weekend he hauled in a game high eight passes for 116 yards and caught two touchdowns in an important road victory.

Ontario Conference
RB Isaac McAlonan - Hamilton Hurricanes

In a dominant performance on the road, Isaac McAlonan repeatedly pounded the Grizzlies’ defensive front gaining chunk yardage on each of his 20 carries, three of which went for touchdowns.  In all, he rushed for 148 yards and even had a reception coming out of the backfield for an additional 11 yards.

Prairie Conference
QB Damon Dutton – Saskatoon Hilltops

An outstanding performance by first year starter Damon Dutton who put a cap on the regular season on the road connecting on 28 of 37 attempts for 359 yards and threw three touchdowns.

Defensive Players of the Week

BC Conference
DB Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty – VI Raiders

Over the weekend the Raiders defence completely shut down the Westshore Rebels thanks in large part to the “ball hawk” skills of Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty.  The veteran intercepted a pair of passes and returned them for a combined 52 yards and made two solo tackles.

Ontario Conference
LB Tyler Thompson - London Beefeaters

In sending notice to the rest of the OFC, Tyler Thompson and the rest of the his Beefeater defensive teammates reminded everyone that to take the Teddy Morris trophy they will have to go through the Beefeater defence. Of the 11 forced turnovers in the game by the Beefeaters, Thompson had two interceptions, one of which he returned 28 yards for a touchdown.  In addition to his interceptions, he also chipped in with a solo tackle.

LB Cornelius Brown Jr - Quinte Skyhawks
As he has done all season long, the Skyhawks' uber-talented linebacker was a one man tackling machine.  Brown Jr.’s nose for the ball had him taking down Hurricane ball carriers all afternoon as he wrecked up 13 tackles (11 solo) as well as scooping up a fumble for 19 yards for an impressive total of 26 defensive points.

Prairie Conference
LB Konnor Johnson – Saskatoon Hilltops

On the road in Winnipeg the Hilltops defence was led by Konnor Johnson who filled the stats sheet and came up with six solo tackles, an assisted stop, an interception and a knockdown.

Special Teams Players of the Week

BC Conference
R Jeffroy Ojong – Westshore Rebels

When the Rebels needed good field position on special teams they looked to returner Jeffroy Ojong who totalled five kick returns for 77 yards.

Ontario Conference
R Cliff Jerry Karinogh - GTA Grizzlies

In a game that had few bright spots for the GTA Grizzlies, one shining light was Cliff Jerry Karinogh whose kick and punt returns often provided the Grizzlies with favorable field position.  He returned six kick offs for 118 yards and four punts for 48 yards.

Prairie Conference
R Declan Mullin – Edmonton Wildcats

In their final game of the regular season the Wildcats were helped on the scoreboard from their Special Teams when Declan Mullin returned a kick-off 99 yards for a touchdown, easily the most exciting play of the weekend.    In all he returned seven kicks for 168 yards and that major.
