The defending BC Conference champion Rams continue to roll in 2021 and remain undefeated with the lopsided victory, led by their running attack.

In all the Rams chewed up an impressive 322 yards led by Derek Best and his 132 yards on eight carries and also scored a pair of touchdowns.   Joel Klassen carried the rock 13 times for 110 yards and Xavion Fleary added 48 on five carries.

Through the air Trey Jones completed only eight passes but two of them were to Daniel Kubongo for touchdowns.

Meanwhile defensively Kyle Charot forced a fumble, intercepted a pass and tallied three solo tackles.  The Rams defence also collected three sacks and forced five turnovers.

The Rebels lone score came in the third quarter when quarterback Colby Henkel scampered into the end zone.   Through the air he completed 10 passes for 132 yards.

This coming weekend the Rams (4-0) will host the Valley Huskers (2-3) while the Rebels (1-3) stay on the road and visit the VI Raiders (2-2).

An exciting game in Chilliwack as both the Raiders and Huskers seemingly traded scores back and forth with the Huskers missing a 47-yard field goal at the buzzer.

The Raiders scored all their 21 points in the first three quarters behind a huge game from veteran quarterback Jake Laberge.  He completed 10 passes for 165 yards and threw three touchdown passes.   Two of those majors were caught by Marcel Grant and the other was a 35-yard strike to Paul Romanoff.  

On the ground Jason Henderson gathered a game high 110 yards on 18 carries.

Defensively the Raiders forced four turnovers including a pair of interceptions by Gevhahn McNally-Hardisty, his first two of the season.

On the other side of the ball the Huskers scored their points in various ways.   Defensive back Jordan Chizda picked off a pass and returned it 60-yards for a touchdown.  On the offensive side Brandon O’Connor got into the end zone on the ground and kicker Ethan Homan connected on a 29-yard attempt.

Next weekend the Raiders (2-2) will welcome their Island rivals the Westshore Rebels (1-3) and the Huskers (2-3) will visit the Langley Rams (4-0).

The Sun used 253 yards on the ground to claim their fourth win of the season on a windy Sunday evening in Kamloops.  Running back Malcolm Miller had another massive game galloping to 145 yards on 15 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns.

Quarterback Dominic Britton completed 10 passes for 193 yards and threw a pair of touchdown passes to Mike O’Shea.  In all Britton spread the ball around and completed passes to six different receivers.

O’Shea not only caught two touchdown passes, but he also scored a third major on an 83-yard punt return in the second half.   In all he had five returns and combined for 226 all-purpose yards.

The Broncos offence struggled against the Sun particularly on the ground finishing with just two yards rushing.   Through the air quarterback Clark Snider threw for 123 yards and found Ayden Cummins for a touchdown late in the game.

This coming Saturday the venue will change as the Sun (4-1) host the Broncos (0-4) at the Apple Bowl, which will be the first game in Kelowna this season.
