Offensive Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
QB Clarke McCallum - London Beefeaters

In limited action in the Beefeater win, McCallum made the most of his opportunities passing for two touchdowns and carrying the rock himself for a third major. He had 11 completions on 16 attempts for 171 yards as the Beefeaters defeated the GTA Grizzlies at home.

BC Conference
RB Malcolm Miller – Okanagan Sun

The Sun running back had himself a day, setting a new team record chewing up 325 yards on the ground on 39 carries and scored three touchdowns.   His 325 yards are the third highest in BC Conference history while his 39 carries are the most in the CJFL since 2013.

Prairie Conference
RB Alex Gayle – Edmonton Huskies

In a lopsided win the Huskies running back dominated the ground assault scoring four touchdowns on 19 carries and gathered 149 yards.  He also caught two passes for 29 yards.

Defensive Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
LB Josh Allen - St. Clair Fratmen

In helping his defensive mates shutdown the Skyhawk offense Josh Allen seemingly did a little bit of everything. In defending the pass, the talented linebacker batted one ball and then intercepted another which he returned for 77 yards.  He also found himself in the Skyhawk backfield where he collected a sack and a pair of tackles.

BC Conference
DL Tyler Eckert – Langley Rams

The Rams defence completely shutdown the Valley Huskers on the weekend and Tyler Eckert was a major reason why with three sacks and a pair of tackles.

Prairie Conference
LB Matthew Schill – Regina Thunder

The Thunder defence continues to be one of the best in the business across the CJFL and this past weekend they were led by linebacker Matthew Schill who had a game high 11 tackles to complement his sack and his interception that he returned for 24 yards.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
K Jake Holloway - St. Clair Fratmen

In collecting his second player of the week award on the season, Jake Holloway’s strong leg proved once again to be a weapon for the visiting Fratmen.  He connected on his only field goal attempt on the day and was perfect on all nine of his converts.  For good measure two of his kickoffs sailed into the end zone for rouges.

BC Conference
K Liam Atwood – Okanagan Sun

The first year Sun kicker combined for 13 of the 39 points his club would score in a road victory on Saturday.  Liam Atwood connected on three field goals from 14, 23 and 24 yards away and was a perfect 4-4 in coverts.

Prairie Conference
R Brant Morrow – Saskatoon Hilltops

The Hilltops returned to their winning ways on the weekend. Returner Brant Morrow ran back two punts for a combined 73 yards including one of them down to the Winnipeg Rifle one-yard line that that turned the momentum of the game. He also returned a kick-off for 40 yards.
