The new crop is ready to kick-off 2021

After missing the 2019 post season the Valley Huskers are poised to clinch a playoff spot here in 2021 with several new faces leading the charge.

What’s New:

The new Huskers’ Board of Directors have been extremely busy despite a season without any games in 2020.  They have new strength and conditioning program and new ties with the University of the Fraser Valley.  The club has also kick started a new Ready Set Read with Huskers program, an outstanding initiative giving back to the community.  Plus they have created an Alumni Association getting former players re-engaged.

Counting On:

RB Brandon O’Connor – he saw limited action last season as a member of the University of Manitoba Bisons.  He carried the ball only once, but did score a touchdown on that carry.  He should be a force this upcoming CJFL season at 6’3 and 215 pounds

DB Jordan Chizda – after hitting the gym and growing off the field the Huskers are expecting big things from Chizda who tallied eight tackles in 2019 and had a knockdown

DL Isaiah Letender – he took some major steps in 2019 and has been working out ever since.  That season he collected 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks

The Huskers will open the 2021 CJFL season on Saturday September 4th when they host the Okanagan Sun.
