The Ontario Conference is back August 28-29

The CJFL and Ontario Conference (OFC) is pleased to release the 2021 schedule that will see the five member teams open the CJFL season on August 28th and 29th.

All games and dates are subject to change or adjusted with the ongoing COVID-19 staged reopening

The defending Ontario champion London Beefeaters will open the Conference season at home at City Wide Sports Park against the Hamilton Hurricanes on that Saturday night.  The next day the newly named St. Clair Fratmen visit the GTA Grizzlies during Week 1.

The following weekend the newest CJFL franchise, the Quinte Skyhawks will make their league debut when they host the Beefeaters on September 4th on the campus of Loyalist College.

The teams will play an eight week regular season schedule concluding on Halloween afternoon.  The schedule then calls for a bye week which gives teams an opportunity to make-up games in case they need to be rescheduled.  The playoffs open the weekend of November 13th with the top four teams from the regular season.  Following another bye week the Conference final will be played on November 27th with the winner then hosting the 2021 Canadian Bowl on December 4th.

The CJFL teams will strictly follow guidance from each of the Provincial Health Authorities and will have the ability to change the schedule if required for the safety of our players, coaches, team administrators and fans.

The Ottawa Sooners have made the difficult decision not play during the 2021 season and will be classified as “non-playing status.”  The club has “alternatively chosen to implement an intensive training and team building program that will allow us to better prepare for next season (2022).”
