The Conference will kick-off August 22

The CJFL and Prairie Conference (PFC) have released their official 2021 eight game schedule that will see the six member conference open the season on August 22nd.

All games and dates are subject to change or adjusted with the ongoing COVID-19 staged reopening.

The six-time defending Canadian Bowl champion Saskatoon Hilltops will open the season in Edmonton against the Huskies in a rematch of the 2019 Conference final.  Elsewhere the Regina Thunder will visit the Winnipeg Rifles and Calgary Colts host the Edmonton Wildcats.

The schedule calls for a pair of bye weeks in the regular season which can be used if games have to be rescheduled. Each team will play eight regular season games concluding the weekend of October 23-24.

In a different twist in 2021, all six Conference teams will qualify for the playoffs with the top two seeds receiving a bye into the semi-finals.  The third seed will host the sixth seed while the fourth and fifth seeds will square off in a quarterfinal.

The Conference final will be played over the weekend of November 13-14 with the winner heading to BC for the national semi-final game.  The winner of that tilt will travel to Ontario for the Canadian Bowl.

The CJFL teams will strictly follow guidance from each of the Provincial Health Authorities and will have the ability to change the schedule if required for the safety of our players, coaches, team administrators and fans.
