Adam Konar of the Langley Rams

In his only season in the CJFL, linebacker Adam Konar played a major factor in the Langley Rams hosting their first ever Canadian Bowl.

During the 2012 season Konar led the Rams in defensive points collecting 16 tackles, five sacks, three knockdowns, four forced fumbles and had three interceptions including one for a touchdown.   He was part of a defence that allowed the fewest points in the BC Conference as they averaged 16.1 points a game.  Konar’s Rams went onto a semi-final win over the Westshore Rebels before upsetting the undefeated VI Raiders for the right to host the Canadian Bowl.

In one of the most entertain national championships the Rams fell 23-21 to the Saskatoon Hilltops and Konar collected four tackles.

Just three years later Konar was taken 25th overall in the CFL Draft by the Edmonton Football Club in 2015.  In four seasons with Edmonton he collected 94 tackles, three interceptions and had a pair of sacks.  In May of 2019 he signed with the BC Lions and is now getting set for his second campaign in Vancouver in 2021.

Konar sits down to talk with Ryan Watters to reminisce his CFL Draft experience.
