The Hamilton Hurricanes welcome back a familiar face

The Hamilton Hurricanes announce they have accepted the resignation of Brian Duguay as head coach of the football team.  He was a part of the coaching staff for nine seasons, eight as an assistant and then was head coach in 2019.

Duguay’s resignation has made room for Jason Hayes to return to the Hurricanes after a two-year hiatus to resume the role of head coach.  For 11 seasons Hayes was the architect who guided the Hurricanes from 2008-2018 and tallied an incredible 80 wins.  He collected four Ontario Conference titles in eight appearances and made the CJFL post season in each of his 11 years.  Hayes was named the Conference Coach of the Year three times and the 2017 Ontario Amateur Coach of the Year which is awarded by the Ontario Football Association.

Hayes will rejoin the club immediately and begin the process of piecing together the 2021 Hurricanes.
