One of the most dynamic players last season in the CJFL was Langley Rams running back Andrew Pocrnic who set a new single season touchdown record scoring and incredible 27 majors.

Out of the backfield “Poc” was chewing up yards at a blistering pace averaging 7.4 yards a carry.  In all, he carried the rock 163 times for 1199 yards and 26 touchdowns, all BC Conference highs.   When he would bleed out of the backfield he hauled in 18 passes for 279 yards and had a score.  Very seldom did Poc go down on the first hit, his will to gain yards showed each time he touched the ball.

His totals helped the Rams to their second straight Cullen Cup title and a berth in the Canadian Bowl, which the Rams hosted.  In the national title game Poc faced the toughest defence to date and still muscled for 74 yards on 16 carries.

Following the regular season Pocrnic was named the CJFL Peter Dalla Riva Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year.  He became the first Ram to win this award since Blair Atkinson did it in 2001 when they were known as the South Fraser Rams.

His outstanding 2019 season even impressed the BC Lions who signed him as a territorial protected player in December.
