Offensive Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
WR Cody Holmes – Windsor AKO Fratmen

The Windsor offense was firing on all cylinders as Cody Holmes had his way with the Ottawa Sooners secondary as he hauled in nine passes, three of which went for touchdowns and 240 yards receiving as the Fratmen left the nation’s capital with a statement win.

Prairie Conference
QB Tyler Hermann – Saskatoon Hilltops

In his final regular game Tyler Hermann was simply outstanding as the Hilltops pivot.  He completed 20 of 26 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns guiding the Toppers to an undefeated season.

Defensive Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
LB Blake Ouellette – Windsor AKO Fratmen

Not to be outdone by their offensive counterparts, the Fratmen defence proved very much to be the immovable object as they limited to the Sooners offence to 53 net yards.  Leading the way was defensive captain Blake Ouellette who recorded 1.5 sacks, forced a fumble and had 2 tackles as well as batted down a pass.

Prairie Conference
DL Jesse McNabb – Saskatoon Hilltops

The Hilltops defence was solid this past weekend holding down the Edmonton Wildcats in a playoff preview.  Jesse McNabb led the defensive lineup with three sacks, six tackles and was an overall nuisance for the Wildcats.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Ontario Conference
K Sam Richardson – Windsor AKO Fratmen

Sam Richardson has appeared to have solidified the kicking situation for the Fratmen.    He was perfect on all seven of his convert attempts and averaged 50.7 yards on his kickoffs with his longest travelling 75 yards for a point.

Prairie Conference
KR Tyrese Bristol – Calgary Colts

Despite a loss, the most exciting play in the Colts-Huskies game was the 98 yard kick-off return for a touchdown by Tyrese Bristol.  In all he had four kick returns for an average of 42 yards.
