Harvey Mafuta of the GTA Grizzlies has proven he is an elite player in the CJFL in just his rookie season.
On an offence that has struggled to score points Mafuta is a threat to score each time he touches the ball. During the regular season he caught 18 passes for 352 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.
On the Grizzlies Special Teams he gave the opposition cover teams a head ache with the ball in his hands. He returned 11 punts for an average of 18.1 yards and took one return to the house. He also returned 14 kick-offs averaging 28.1 yards and took one kick back 109 yards for a touchdown.
Mufuta is such an athlete the Grizzlies keep him on the field on the defensive side as well. He collected 29 tackles, knocked down a pass and had three interceptions to add to his incredible season.
