The Hilltops, Huskies and Thunder each win in Week 10

Both offences seemed to be able to move the ball with little trouble.  They combined for 1,050 total offensive yards.

The Hilltops used the ground game compiling 304 yards led by Ben Abrook and his 206 yards on 18 carries and had a pair of touchdowns.  Quarterback Tyler Hermann completed 10 passes for 254 yards and threw three touchdown passes finding Connor Graham, Taner Rhode and Dillan Heintz for a 90 yard catch and run to the house in the first quarter.

Where the Hilltops used the ground attack, the Rifles wen t to the air as Riley Naujoks completed 20 passes for 270 yards and threw a 20 yard touchdown pass to Eric Klein.  Backup Kyle Logan threw for 121 yards on seven completions.  On the ground Brandon Urciuoli rumbled 88 yards and scored two touchdowns.

This coming weekend is the regular season finales as the Hilltops (7-0) host the Edmonton Wildcats (2-5) in a potential playoff preview and the Rifles (1-6) visit the Regina Thunder (5-2).

The Huskies sweep the seasonal series with their city rival with a well balanced attack.  Quarterback Jordan Lane threw for 190 yards on 13 completions and threw a pair of touchdowns to Ronnie Oling.

On the ground Brandt Burzuk rushed 15 times for 155 yards and scored a touchdown.

The defence even got on the scoreboard when Cole Lindberg picked up a fumble and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown.

The lone Wildcats score came on a 25 yard field off the foot of Colby Saunders.

Quarterback Dante Tabacu completed 11 passes for 145 yards.  He also rushed six times for 47 yards.  Lucas Howe caught three of those passes and had 81 yards.

This weekend both teams will play their regular season finales. 

The Huskies (5-2) will travel to Calgary to face the Colts (1-6) and the Wildcats (2-5) visit the Saskatoon Hilltops (7-0).

The Thunder offence was clicking this weekend to the tune of 553 total yards.  Quarterback Blake Scherle threw for 364 yards on 23 completions and two touchdowns.  Back-up Tanner Zaharia also threw a seven yard TD pass.  Ethan Douglas caught two of those majors and 106 yards while Sean Renouf also hauled in a touchdown pass.  

Meanwhile on the ground Greg Lamb raced for 74 yards on 16 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns.

Defensively the Thunder forced 10 turnovers including five interceptions.  Bobo Kisusari had two of them while Branden Janotta, Brandy Martin and Davin Williamson had the others.

The lone Colts touchdown came on an Ike Okafor run.  In all he rushed seven times for 66 yards.

The defence did force nine turnovers, three of which were interceptions.   Thomas Goetz had a pair of them and Austin Shopa had the other.  Romareo Ried had a massive game with 12 solo tackles.

This coming weekend the Thunder (5-2) welcome the Winnipeg Rifles (1-6) in the regular season finale and the Colts (1-6) host the Edmonton Huskies (5-2).
